Avis Kincannon

Avis Kincannon – Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on Nov. 20, 2014.

Avis was born in White Earth, North Dakota on December 11, 1935.  She attended Minot Teaching College and taught in a one-room schoolhouse in Cottonwood, ND for a few years.

In 1957, Avis married Allan Kincannon in White Earth, ND where they farmed and had five children.  The family moved to Burien, WA in 1967 where they raised their children.

Avis retired from Boeing and moved to Shelton, WA to enjoy the outdoors.  She loved hosting many family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren.

Avis is survived by her sister Evelyn, daughters, Sherry (Greg), Anita (Mike), sons, Maury (Lori), Merlyn (Debbie), grandchildren, Nikki, Joey, Kristina (Dave), Adam (Sarah), Allan and Brady and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friend, Harold. 

Avis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Allan, son, Ricky and many brothers and sisters.

A memorial celebration will be held at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial Park on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 10 am, 16645 International Blvd., SeaTac.

My Mom Elvina (HALVORSON) Jones was born in

White Earth ND and she passed away 2yrs ago. Sending heartfelt sympathy.

Your Mom will be greatly missed. She was a lot of fun and always enjoy visiting with company.
