I was saddened to hear of Mrs. Passig’s passing, I wish she had lived to see her 90th birthday. I have fond memories of her when we, Nedra, Barbara and Bob and myself were all adolecents growing up in White Center and that she was quite a tough parent, although she was a working mom all the time I knew her. It’s hard to lose that last parent, we lost dad in 2009 so I do know that even if they are in poor health it’s not easy to see them go from our lives when they were so much a part of it. My condolences to your family. Love, Claudia Herr Girard

So very sorry for your loss. We all loved your Mom and knew that she brought lots of joy and love to Don. Would like to give a memorial in her name to St. Bernadette School Fund but don’t know how to get it to them. Please advise us. Your Mom will be in our thoughts and prayers as will you all. Your loss is Heaven’s gain. I wonder if they have Happy Hour there!

Dear Family,

I was lucky enough to have met Barbara in her later years at El Dorado, bringing her Holy Communion as we shared our faith and love of St. Bernadette Church. She amazed me with her wit & spunk and I loved her stories of her many good memories of her favorite restaurant Angelo’s. Oh and how Father Jim whom she loved dearly always said “here comes trouble” when he saw her, she always laughed about that. “It was an honor to know you Barbara, and I know you’ll be checking your watch to make sure I’m not late.”

Peace, Lorene Miller
