Barbara Jean Starnes
Loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Barbara was born September 18, 1936 in Bowdon, ND, and passed away June 18, 2007 in Seattle, WA at the age of 70. Barbara was devoted to her family and found her happiness in her husband, children, grandchildren, and extended family. Barbara is survived by her husband of 51 years, Donald Starnes, daughter Susan Starnes, son Mike Mary Starnes, brother Wayne Bev Shepherd, sister Patricia Carpenter, and four grandchildren Jordan, Adam, Bryan, and Ashly. Memorial Service Sunday, June 24, 2007 at 10:00am at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA 98188, 206 242-1787. She will be greatly missed.
My deepest condolances and sympathy to the family of Barbara Starnes. I worked with Barbara at Valley View Elementary School in the ’80’s. She was a wonderful person, friendly and caring to all the students and staff and I am so thankful for knowing her. Please know how very sorry I am for your loss.

Barbara was simply the best. She brightened every day with her personality and radiant smile. It was a privilege to have known and worked with her at ERAC in the Highline School Dist.
