Barbara Laura Erickson, Bitzan maiden was born on August 28, 1939 in Winona Minnesota. Her parent’s names were Clarence and Golda Bitzan; she is survived by 2 brothers Thomas and Joseph Bitzan. She was married twice and had 3 sons John Snyder, Edward Bitzan and Herbert Erickson the 3rd. Her grandchildren are Raelynn Fabre, Savannah Telander, Edward Jr Bitzan, Evangeline Bitzan, Isabella Bitzan, Conner and Jasmine Erickson and one great grandchild Adara Simonian.
Barbara was a devoted Christian since she was a young child. She devoted her life to loving and helping her family, friends, and also working in the Church. Barbara gave of her time free to help the church from babysitting children during services to Christian phone counseling. She also was an extremely gifted poet who loved to read her favorite book was Gone with the Wind she read it over 150 times. A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Lake Burien Presbyterian Church, 15003 – 14th Avenue SW, Burien, WA.
We are so sorry for your loss. Barbara was a sweet, kind woman who was always concerned about your well being. She will be missed.
