Benjamin M. Aguiluz

Age 65, passed away surrounded by his family on October 23, 2006, after bravely battling lung fibrosis for many years. Benjamin was born on August 13, 1941 in Muntinlupa, Philippines. He was married to his beloved first wife Victoria for 33 years, until she died in 2001. He came to America in 1974, settling in Los Angeles, and brought his family the next year. In 1978, Ben moved his family to Kent, WA. Benjamin was a talented engineer who held an MS in Industrial Engineering and a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He had a successful career at Boeing for 24 years. Ben was active in many organizations in the local Filipino community. He was a founding member and former president of the Association of Filipino-American Engineers of Washington AFEW. He was also heavily involved in the Filipino Masonic Association of Greater Seattle FILMAGS and served one year as lodge Master. In addition, he was an active alumni member of the University of the Philippines.

Ben loved to travel, taking trips around the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia. He was a lover of nature and enjoyed going on long camping trips in his RV. He was a former boxer, an avid chess player, and loved to play poker and Mahjong with his friends. Ben was a lover of life who left an unforgettable mark on all those he touched throughout his time among us. During the last two years of his life he was looked after and loved by his second wife Celia.

Benjamin is remembered by his children as a strong and loving husband, father, and grandfather who took care of his wife Vicky during the last days of her battle with cancer. He is survived by his second wife Celia, sons Benjamin, Victor and Anthony, daughter Elizabeth and grandchildren Allah and Victoria, his brothers and sisters Letty, Heroico, Nonoy, and Mila. He also has many nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless friends.

A vigil will be held at 6pm Friday 10/27, and the funeral mass will be held at 10am Saturday 10/28. Both events will be held at the Holy Spirit Parish, 327 2nd Ave S in Kent, WA 98032. Private viewings are at Bonney Watson funeral home in SeaTac beginning Thursday evening.

May Ben find happiness and peace as he resides in that house not made with hand internal in the heavens.

I will miss my fellow smack brother and will always remember the year we served together as Masters of our respective Lodges.
