Bernice Robinson
January 19, 1948 - March 14, 2020
Obituary
Our loving mother Bernice Robinson of Federal Way, Washington, was called to her eternal resting place on March 14, 2020. She was born in Scott, Mississippi to Rev. Kelly and Mary Wright who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters Querrida and Lolita and her grandchildren Regina and Regis. Bernice left behind to mourn her 2 brothers and 2 sisters Rev. Willis Wright (Doris), Dora Hollie, Ruby Carradine, and Mack Wright and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Her family moved to the city of Greenwood, Mississippi when she was a small child. Later as a teenager she moved to Detroit, Michigan. Here she met and married Curtis Robinson and gave birth to two beautiful daughters. In 1977 tragedy struck leaving Bernice permanently paralyzed. But this did not stop her. She taught for several years at St. Francis School before moving to Seattle, Washington to work for NOAA. She then moved to Federal Way and worked for FAA until she retired. She then became more active in her community and her grandchildren’s lives.
We are respecting her wishes of not having a funeral. A memorial will be scheduled when possible. Any condolences or respects can be sent to Robinsons, PO Box 8133, Alexandria, VA 22306.
