Grandma you gave each of us something to take with us through life. You gave us the joy of family and friends, the wonderful times celebrating with them over the food that you prepared for us just the way we liked it. You gave us the understanding of what an animal can give to us if we just let it. You taught us to respect and care for our pets as family members and to allow them to show us their love. You never turned your back on the spirits that entered your house be in 2 legged or 4 legged. You taught us respect for traditions. For all of those gifts I thank you and I will always remember. My lessons learned were never kick the cat out of the chair if it was there first and that when you go to the cemetery you must never walk where others lie. I will honor your memory by placing flowers at your site and when ever I meet a new animal I will look for you in their eyes. As you awaken in heaven please remember that we miss you and will continue on the traditions that you gave us to honor you.
