I know how hard it is to see someone so dear slip away day by day. The precious memories of Betty and her ministry in my life are held in my heart and give comfort as well as tears. Our Lord provides such comfort–knowing Betty is held in His arms, restored to health and loved beyond our comprehension. I try hard to remember that. I shall continue to ask the Lord for His comfort for the entire family. His blessings are never-ending.

Dearest Betty,

You were truly my mother here in the U.S., nearest and dearest to my heart. Thank you for being my biggest spritual supporter. Without you, I wouldn’t be a Christian. You will stay in my heart for so long as I live. Now, you are with the Lord. I will see you when the time comes.

Your adopted son, Mitsuo

I share your mixed sorrow and joy at Betty’s passing. I know she was looking foward to being in the Lord’s presence and there is much comfort in knowing that she is with Our Lord Jesus even now. My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you go through this time.

Betty was a wonderful person. She was one of those rare people that everything you can think of to say about is good. She was very special, a truly good person, a devoted Christian. The world is a better place and we are better people because of her life. We will miss her. Our prayers are with her family.

Dear Family,

Thank you for informing us of your Mother’s Home-going. She influenced many, many people for the Lord, and was such an example of a woman who loved the Lord and served Him with her whole heart.

We will miss her too, and send our sincere sympathy to Lloyd, Lennard, Wayne, Louise and Jeannie and families.

With love in Jesus,

Jack and Helen Akamine

To a dear mentor in my family–my Grandma. For years she put up with me…and always showed love the best way she knew. She told me many stories of her life and how the Lord was center. She planted seeds in my heart for a longing to be close to Jesus and to serve him and make him Lord of my life. Grandma, I will miss you dearly. How I wish I could be there with the family to say goodbye. In a few weeks, you shall, Lord willing, have another great grandson. I thank God he has chosen to heal you so completely now.

Love, Joy,

Husband David and sons: Joshua 6 Caleb 5 Nathan 1 and new little bundle due March 28.

Betty Wallstrom… she lived a good long life to the age of almost 82… a wonderful and much needed role model “mom” I needed when I was just 15… as the Wallstrom family took me in as an added fixture in their already large family. I sometimes thought Betty thought Bruce had two heads smile…. yep, I bet she even did some laundry for me too back then….Her motherly personality was often one of a “Ram” in that she continued to motivate those close to her to take that next step in the often felt “Hill Climb” of life… and in doing so, the reward was a great view of what she was seeing already on the next ridge. She cherished the accomplishments that Bruce and I made… and I appreciated her influence on my early walk with Christ. She will be missed… but only until the Banquet Table… and Bruce…ya better leave me some too!

I have many cherished memories of dear Betty! My earliest memory is at age five when I was the flower girl for Betty and Lloyd’s wedding. And can you believe, I still have the sweet little yellow dress, possibly made by Betty, who was an excellent seamstress! God gifted Betty with many talents, and an excellent mind. I will treasure the wise thoughts that she eagerly shared and the memory of her insatiable desire to know her Lord. May God comfort all who mourn her loss. Loving you with our prayers, Art and Florence

Mom, you were so generous and hospitable. You loved sharing your wisdom, gathered over many years. Thank you for pointing the way — “Look for the ancient paths and walk in them.” Your memory is a blessing to our lives.

Betty & Lloyd became our family where we had no family. They introduced us to Christ. They continue to inspire me to take the high road in life. Thank you,

Steve
