Obituary

Betty Louise (Fischer) Lord, age 88 went home to her Lord and Savior the evening of February 26, 2024.  Betty was born in Prineville, OR to Edward and Evelyn Fischer on June 25, 1935 and graduated from Crook County High School in 1953.  Betty attended Multnomah Bible College in Portland, OR where she met her future husband, Dennis R. Lord.  Betty and Dennis married on December 18, 1954.  They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary just before Dennis’ passing in 2014.  Betty and Dennis were reunited in heaven after a 9-year separation.

Betty is survived by her 3 children: Dennis R. Lord, Jr and Sherrie Fife of Seattle and Debbie Walker (Dave) of Sumner, WA.  Betty is survived by 3 grandchildren: Andrea (Dustin) Baker; Reginald L. Lord (Marlo) and Melissa Pendleton (Jared) and 8 great-grandchildren: Tristan Pendleton, William Lord, Charlotte Baker; Amelia Lord; Dylan Baker; Blake Baker; Cael Pendleton and Finley Pendleton.

Betty enjoyed crafting, with interests in ceramics (painting a 15-piece Nativity collection amongst many other projects), crocheting, and embroidery.  In recent years, Betty enjoyed completing word find books to keep her mind fresh. 

Betty attend Grace Baptist church in south Seattle for many years, playing the piano and organ and singing in the choir.

Betty and Dennis moved to Boulevard Park Place active senior community in 1999.  Betty was one of the last original residents.  Betty played the organ for church services at Boulevard Park Place as well. 

A celebration of life will be held at Boulevard Park Place 2805 S. 125th St., Burien, WA 98168 on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 1:00pm. Light refreshments to follow.

Miss you already mom. You were not only my mom but roommate for the last 9 years. I enjoyed going to bingo and outings with the gang and you here at BPP. You are missed from your friends you’ve known for the last 25 years. Your daughter Sherrie
