Beverley Patricia Thompson
June 16, 1930-January 31, 2013
Beverley Thompson passed away peacefully after a long battle with chronic illnesses on January 31st 2013. She was 82 years old. She is survived by her four children Linda Foster-Beard (Ed Beard) of Terrebonne, Oregon; Stanley Thompson (Cheryl Wilby) of Palmer, Alaska; Sandra O’Brien (Tim) of Gig Harbor Washington; Debra Moon (Gregg) of Bellingham Washington; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Beverley was born to Henry and Elsie Boyle, in Christchurch New Zealand. She immigrated to the United States, and subsequently married a Naval Officer, Charles Otto Hill. They were later divorced. She became a naturalized American citizen, and settled in Washington State where she met the love of her life, Palmer Thompson. They were been married for 55 years.
Beverley worked several years as a Licensed Practical Nurse, a Nursing Home Administrator and as a Realtor.
As a young woman she loved to dance, flirt and listen to music. She loved to cook, fish, go to the casinos, read, and spend time with her family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make others laugh.
Special Thanks to Harbor Heritage Adult Family Home, Gig Harbor, and all of those involved in providing her with compassion, dignity and comfort in her final days.
She will be missed.
