Obituary
Our sweet Beverly June departed this world for a heavenly home on January 27, 2018. Beverly was the second of fraternal twins born to Bill and Iola Nordquist March 23, 1930. The Nordquist family made their home in the community of Foster just south of Seattle, Washington. Now that community has been absorbed into the city of Tukwila. Beverly besides her twin Barbara had a big sister, Rose Marie. All three girls grew up in Foster and graduated from Foster High School. They experienced the Great Depression and the impact of the Second World War. Being close to the Kent Valley provided their first work experiences as farm laborers picking raspberries and beans. Their mother Iola involved them in the Girl Scouts where they had their first adventures with camping and exploring the Great Northwest.
Beverly married Frank McKinsey in August, 1951. From their union they produced two sons Brady Allen McKinsey and Bryan Michael McKinsey.
Beverly made her home in California for most of her life except for some geographical detours that took her and the boys to Indiana, North Carolina, North Dakota and Wiesbaden West Germany. In her later years, she lived in Port Ludlow, and SeaTac Washington.
Beverly was an avid gardener and landscaper donating her talents to the communities where she lived. Beverly also participated in many choral groups and was an ardent competitor at the game of Bridge.
Beverly will be remembered fondly for her love and devotion to her sons Brad and Bryan, and her determined spirit of community participation. She was a wonderful neighbor and a loyal friend. Beverly will be missed by her sons, her sister Barbara and many nieces and nephews.
A private family gathering to celebrate Beverly’s life will be held on February 18
