Bevra Pauline Kelly Pomeroy
July 20, 1932 – May 11, 2008
Quiet, strong, passionate, giving – Bevra’s life was dedicated to serving others. Her hands crafted beauty: sewing, quilting, baking, gardening. Her organizational skills created a peaceful home for her family. Given the slightest excuse, Bevra delighted in giving her loved ones goody bags stuffed to the brim. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, current events, dollhouses, and discovering beautiful stones during walks on the beach.
Bevra married the love of her life, Fred James Pomery, in 1957. Her love never diminished, even after his death in 1990. They will now be reunited and made whole again.
Bevra is survived by daughters Leanne Hawkins Rick, Kara Pomery, and son Laine Pomeroy, grandsons Brian and Scott Hawkins, and sisters Sandra Newmaster and Karen Kinner.
A private gathering to celebrate Bevra’s life will occur on May 17th.
