Billy G. Meneese

Obituary

Billy George Meneese was born October 28, 1964 in Springfield, TN to Margaret Ann and James Eddie Johnson. As a child, Billy was a very athletic and an energetic child who loved spending summers with his siblings and cousins.  The family relocated to Seattle, WA in 1971 where he attended Graham Hill Elementary, Sharples Middle and Franklin High School.

Fuzzy, as he was known to family and friends, was a coach/mentor for the Tukwila and Kent youth basketball leagues and a football coach/mentor for Kent and Renton youth leagues.

A dedicated and loyal employee, Billy worked at Dawn’s Foods for over 28 years. Prior to that he was an Associated Grocer’s employee.

Fuzzy loved spending time with his family and friends. Firing up the grill for a family bbq was one of his favorite things to do. These gathering were full of love, laughter, and games … “I’m going to stay strong til I’m gone” was one of his favorite sayings. Family time spent with his sons and nephews was something he looked forward to every day. Fuzzy also loved fishing with his buddy, Rey.

Billy married his long-time love Kim, who God brought back into his life, to spend the rest of his days and share an unbreakable bond. When Billy accepted God and embraced that ultimately death is a part of life, he also understood and believed that he will have a better seat to watch over his loved ones for the rest of their days.

Fuzzy was preceded in death by his grandmother Louise and grandfather O’Neal; sisters: Roberta Meneese, Demetris Pope-Kendrick; brothers: Rayford Johnson, James Johnson, Sr., Harold Johnson; an uncle, Leslie Williams; step-father, Eddie Howard and a nephew, Don Dowlen.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Margaret Ann Howard; wife, Kim Meneese; sisters: Renee, Linda Gayle, Bonnie-Sue, Betty-Jo and Robin; brothers: Jerry (Bonnie) and Jay; daughter: LaTicia; sons: Billy and Jamar; step-daughters: Shataya and Toya; step-sons: Darien and Keiland and nine grandchildren he loved dearly.

An additional host of family and friends are left to remember their time spent with Fuzzy.

When we first moved to the Sunflower apartments in 1975 you were the first brother that we met. And that`s exactly what you are ,my brother. We spent days playing basketball and hanging out. You always had a smile and a heart of gold. The last time we talked was just like the first time we talked ,it was full of love and laughter.Bro I miss and you will forever be in my heart.

Rest in heaven

Fuzzy, there are so many memories, but the one that I think about most often is my surprise 13th birthday party that you told me about. You even told me to act surprised and not tell anyone that you told me. Lol You will be missed greatly!

Sending love and hugs to the Meneese family from the Cain family!
