I was the scheduler for her at Seattle Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center. Even though I meet a lot of cancer patients daily she left an interesting footprint here for me. Not only did she have a distinct voice, but a contagious smile. Every time walking into the clinic, she would peak her face around the corner, give me a huge smile, and a massive wave. I cant begin to explain how much I will miss that. After reading her obituary, I was blown away by the impact this woman had on her friends, family and the community in the Central District. Brenda, you are gone, but TRULY not forgotten. Thanks for making my days worth while when you came in for vitamins…

I’ve always Admired your strength, your passion for loving and helping others and your professionalism. I think of you as being the backbone of the Beauty Industry here in Seattle. Always in the central area. Thanks for all the support when I was at SCCC/Svi.

Tomas and Brenda I love you two. Thanks for all the time we worked together and always had a close and honest relationship.

I’ve missed you and will continue to. However, I’ll always remember you and your beautiful smile. RIP

I met Sister Valasquez years before I was baptized. She was so positive and had a smile that would light up the room. She will be missed but I look forward to paradise where we can see each other again.

Brother Valasquez my prayers go out to you and your family. Numbers 6:24-26

Brenda was a beautiful person, inside and out.

Truly her Love for Jehovah showed through they way she treated and greeted everyone she met.

That wonderful smile will sadly be missed, but we know she is just taking a nap.

We do look forward to seeing her very soon, when she will hear her named being called JOHN 5: 28,29

Brenda was truly a Gem. May Jehovah be with the Velasquez and Jenkins Family at this time.

When I met B.J. many years ago she was smiling and the last time I saw her she was smiling even though she didn’t feel good. I got my hug from her and I will miss her smile and her sweet personaliity. We will see her soon as promised in Acts 24:15.

Brenda and I met when we were just “babies” when she would visit her great aunt Ms Alene White and her great uncle Mr Herman White. Her cousins Don, Johnell, Janet and the late Jackene White That was in the early 1950’s. Brenda was instrumental in helping me with. Usiness endeavors. I used to tease her about her and Tomas getting married in December. Anyone whose been to the Yesler congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses knows exactly what I mean. We had talked about her n Tomas visiting us But we will see her in the resurrection. Love you my Old friend

Brenda’s family and mine grew up together as children and we played together and enjoyed each other every day of our childhood lives. My sister Jonetta who now lives in California always asked about her whenever we would talk about people fromthe “old neighborhood”. Brenda always had a smile when I would run into her from time to time, and I would always ask about her sister who I was closest to in age. My mom was saddened to hear about Brenda’s passing and my entire family sends our sincerest condolences to her family. Rejoyce in her memory and she will live on in all of us forever. I used to purchase lots of hair products from Brenda when she had her business at the Promenade 23 on Jackson.

Brenda had a smile that would “light up a room.” My cousin, the late Bobbie Jean Cobb who was also a Jehovah Witness worked for Brenda when she owned BJ’s Beauty Supplies.

I am a better person for knowing Brenda.
