Morgy:
I was in Minnesota when I heard the news of your passing. Immediately I wept losing you on this Earth but know you are safe in the Creator’s arms. The last time I seen you was at Pro Golf where you gave me an offer to good to refuse with a Hybrid Club .. the smile was the key to the sale and the joy on your face when you seen me. I still have your business card and will look at it with happiness and memories.
I will tell you and your family in confidence my later father, Richard Oshie, said you were his favorite player ever next to of course T.J. and Taylor. That will forever stick with me Morgy.
My memories of you will always be smiling when I coached you and always .. always having my son’s look up to you. The Washington Jr. Stars AAA Hockey program will forever honor #16 of which you wore as a minor player.
To The Morgan Family .. A Heartfelt thanks for raising such an true teammate, friend, son and ambassador to the game of hockey and life.
My entire family offers our sincere gratitude for raising a son of that character. I will forever etch Morgy in my heart and thoughts.
Coach Timothy Oshie & Family
Our sons grew up playing hockey with and against Brian but we got to know him best as a Totem. As a family we attended all the home games together and made most of the road trips as well. It was always a pleasure to be in Brian’s company. We cheered for many of his goals and loved to watched the little SJHA players look up to their beloved hero on the ice. Brian had many gifts and talents and we were fortunate to have shared in some of those moments. He will always be a part of the Totems family.
And to Les and Darlene, Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We saw the sparkle in your sons eyes just as we saw the sparkle he put in yours. We pray those memories will bring you some comfort and peace.
Love,
Doug, Lisa, Zac, Tanner, Molly and Kaden Schulze
I am glad I had the chance to know Brian and have the chance to play on the Totems with him! He was a great person!
Dear Les, Darlene, Stacie, and Amber,
I was so sorry to hear about your tragic loss.
I wish the best for all of you during this hard time.

My condolences to the family.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We are so sorry to hear about the loss of Brian.
Brian was a true gentleman and a very talented young man in so many ways. I respected Brian’s humility and genuine nature. Les, over the years I watched you parent Brian with patience and your easy smile and I want you to know that it has made an impact on me as a father. You and Darlene raised a fantastic son. My deepest condolences to you and your family.
I worked with Brian’s dad for years and only heard the love and joy that Les shared when talking about his son.

‘we loved Him because He first loved us’
We first met Brian when he was a Pee Wee. Our son was a mighty mite and had never been on ice skates, so we used to go in to the “cheap skate” on Wednesday nights at LIC.
Brian and his friends were always there taking lessons and skating. After a few weeks we were getting to know the regulars and in particular one stood out. Brian started spending time skating around with our then 6-year old showing him the ropes as it were. It was such a great gesture and sounds like a pattern he repeated in his life more than once. He was a wonderful mentor and I know we will always remember him for it.
We offer our sincere condolences and prayers for those he left behind.
Brian was loved by all of as a co-worker, but more importantly as the person he was. His presence and friendship will be deeply missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and the entire Morgan family at this time.
darlene, les, staci, amber, jan, howard, bill….I am so sorry you have lost this great person in your life. It was so amazing to see how many people he touched at the memorial last week at the skate rink. Great kid, Great smile! Now he will always get lane one! xoxo

Morgan Family,
My family and I are extremely sorry to hear about Brian. Growing up playing hockey with and against Brian he was always curtious and kind to me. While he was an incredibly talented hockey player he was also humble and friendly, Brian will always be remembered.
We are thinking of you and are so sorry. Brian was always so happy to sit down and visit when he saw us at the rink. We will miss him.
I was fortunate to have Morgy as a jr coach for 3 seasons. His positive, happy go lucky attitude and passion for hockey impacted all those that came in contact with him. Especially the group of 93’s that had this pleasure. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Morgan family during this very difficult time.

We are so sorry for your loss.
Les and family,
So sorry to hear of your loss. We always enjoyed chatting with Brian while we waited for our skates to be sharpenned. And we loved watching him skate with the Totems, with his long graceful powerful strides. You are in our thoughts.
Les, Darlene, Stacie and Amber
It has been a priviledge to know and work with Brian over the last 3 years. His morals and ethics demanded my respect and admiration of the person he was.He had a way of communicating with his collegues and clients that was unique and engaging. The humor and smiles he brought to us each day were and still are wonderful memories for us.Though we miss the man that he was and the things he did that brightened our experiences with him, I know the lasting impressions will last a lifetime. Brian’s strong faith and belief in Christ comforts me in knowing I will see him again when this life is over and eternity begins. With Love and Respect,Clark and Jill Cannon
miss you morgy
I was one of the lucky few who had the pleasure of coaching Brian. He was always a great team guy, a leader and hard worker. As I now look back through my old photo albums and yearbooks I realize how much Brian taught me during that same time and how I grew as a coach. Les, Darlene, Staci, and Amber – Thank you for all of your love and support over the years and know that Brian touched my life.
With love,
Kevin Urbanski
Morgan Family,
Those of us that have worked with Brian for the past three years feel that we have lost both a family member, and a frind. Brian always came to work with a smile on his face, and a willingness to do whatever was needed that day. It has been an honor for me to have been able to work with Brian and watch him grow from an eager young kid with a big smile, to a respectful young man with a big heart. He is, and will always be missed.
Brian,
You were an inspiration to all of my kids in one way or another…thank you, you will be missed.
Les and Darlene,
I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family, our thoughts and prayers are with you!

Brian never ceased to put a smile on my face and never seemed to have anything other than a smile on his. From his early years of racing “J” hydro to his young man years, he was a champ in his own ways and a great human being. We will all miss you Brian but will see you again.
Butch, Darlene, Stacie & Amber may you have some peace knowing how much he was loved.
Brian was a great kid and he will be dearly missed by so many. I will never forget him always willing to help us short people get our boats of the trailer…and his countless hours manning kicker boats just for the love of boat racing. Butch, Darlene, Stacie and Amber you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Morgan Family,
I lived across the street from you for many years. I cannot express my deep sadness to learn of Brian’s passing. I have so many fond memories of the kids alway’s playing at my house and building forts in my front yard, racing up down 53rd on thier bikes. Brian was alway’s such a happy kid. Les, Darlene, Stacie and Amber my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I’m so sorry for your loss.
Brian was a good, good kid. My daughter’s first boyfriend. He was respectful, kind, considerate, thoughtful and a pleasure to be around. He became part of our family and whenever he was not around we felt something was missing. Now that feeling will always be there.
Les and Darlene, be proud of who he was and know he is now in God’s hands.
Les and Darlene, my heart is breaking for you. I know what a joy Brian was in your life. I can’t imagine what you’re going through, I can only pray that you are given the strength you need to do it. My heart truly goes out to you both.
Brian will be missed in so many ways and in so many places. I fondly remember the past racing days with the whole SOA family like it was yesterday. The Morgan family was always at the front of whatever needed to be done. In the past years I’ve faded away from racing and lived on the golf courses. To my pleasant surprise I found Brian again at Pro Golf in Lynnwood. His personality and smile filled the store on cloudy days. I would stop in the store on a weekly basis to visit with Brian to get an update on the race results and to find out how everyone was doing. In the Spring he printed the race schedule for me and held it at the store. We always talked golf and racing. He would tell me about racing uncle Howard’s equipment and what was new, good or bad on the market. During one of our last summer visits we talked about golf as he was going to play Harbour Pointe and about running a kicker boat at Capitol Lake. I will always remember my last purchase from Brian, a couple of bags of tees. No commission but always with a smile and remembering customers by name. As I walked out a simple “I will see you soon Steve”. Brian, we will see you again.
Butch, Darlene, Stacie and Amber our thoughts and prayers are with you. Brian was the best of everything that a young man can be. Never to be forgotten.
Morgan family,
We were SO sorry to hear about Brians passing. What a tragic loss at such a young age. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
With heartfelt sympathy

Dear, dear Brian,
Even though I only knew you for a few hours, you have touched my heart forever. Thank you for the joyous spirit you brought to our boat-racing family. You left a mark that will not be forgotten.
Les and family,
Our hearts go out to all of you. I never seen Brian without a smile on his face. The intensity and devotion in which he played this game and lived his life will never be forgotten.

Brian, I’ll miss seeing those blue and white hibiscus shorts around the races. You were such a help to all of us in SOA and you’re presence will be missed greatly! Race in Peace!
when my daughter Liz called me and told me you were gone I just could not believe it. Brian you were just an all around great guy, that smile of yours and the twinkle in your eyes will never be missed, you just lit up the room when you walked in. It was a privilege to know you.
Brian’s Family: I am so sorry for your loss he was an inspiration to many. Keep your memories close to you heart, he will always be with you.
