With deepest sympathy from the Hawkins Family, Carlos demonstrated love and kindness which are never wasted. It always makes a difference. It blesses the one who receives it, and it blesses the one who gives it. So, the things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for others remain as your legacy.

It is very difficult when we are suddenly and permanently reminded just how fragile life is. I thank God for the peaceful transition of Carlos. He was a friend to all that knew him. Another link in our Omega chain has been broken as our beloved Brother, #22 on the POTENTIAL Line at FAMU is now in Omega Chapter. As God would have it, Carlos was initiated on May 28th 1975 and completed his Earthly journey on May 28th 2017.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news of Carlos. He was a wonderful man, full of spirit, love, and laughter. In the over 5 years I worked with him at Fleet in Seattle, we had many laughs and good times. I have thought of him often though had not kept in touch; that was my loss. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers as you process through this difficult time. I pray God will grant you peace and understanding. Carlos lives on in my heart and fond memories.
