Obituary
Carmen Jenkins of Seattle, Washington died Saturday, March 19, 2022, at home at the age of 90 after a brief illness. She was born on July 16, 1931, in Manila, Philippines to Mr. and Mrs. Donato Tanjuaquio. In 1952, she married Dr. Angel Duran who passed in 1963.
Carmen attended Manila Central University and graduated with an accounting degree. She came to the USA in 1981 and resided in Seattle, Washington. She met Mr. Almond Jenkins whom she married in 1983. She worked as a dietary aide for several years at Caroline Kline Galland until 1996.
Carmen is survived by her four children, Marina, Rex, Alma and Raul of Seattle, her ten grandchildren, Deisie Jane, Guia, John, Allan, Jed, Alex, Rachel, Robert, Roxanne, and Angelo; and 13 great-grandchildren: Sam, Bonnie, Dana, Ryan, Raelyn, Robert Jr., Ariana, LJ, Audrey, Kendra, Aaliyah, Keon and Zoe. Survivors also include her sisters, Lucy and Herminia, and brothers, Romy, Dan, and Justino. Carmen is preceded in death by her husband, Almond Jenkins who passed in 1996. A funeral service in honor of our loving mama Carmen’s life will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 12:00 noon with visitation preceding. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Almond, at Washington Memorial Park Cemetery in SeaTac, Washington.
