Carolyn Joyce Pearce

Obituary

Joyce was born in Ontario, Oregon on August 5, 1946. On August 18, 2009, she passed on peacefully into God’s eternal kingdom. She grew up in Lewiston, Idaho fishing streams for trout and enjoying the outdoors. At age eighteen she began her long and dedicated career as a civil servant for the United tates government. Her career lasted for more than thirty years until her retirement in April of 2000. This is just one example of her infinite capacity to try and help anyone even a complete stranger.

Joyce leaves behind her three loving sons. Sean, Chris, Frank and her faithful companion Shasta. We all feel this great loss, but she lies on in our hearts and minds. Beautiful, fun-loving, compassionate, funny, patient, and selfness would be the way she can be best described. The strength she showed battling Dementia and Parkinson’s was awe innspiring to watch because she never gave up even when things were not going her way. If we all could strive to be half the person she was this would be a better place. She left the world better than it came to her, and taught us invaluable lessons about life and how to be a good person. We will eventually all be together, but until then, we love you and miss you dearly.
