Obituary
Catherine C. Welte passed away suddenly on March 14, 2009 in Bellevue, Washington. She embraced life with joy, zest and grace, culminating in the celebration of her 100th birthday February 17 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Anaconda, MT, she lived most of her life in San Mateo County, and most recently in Washington state. She is survived by her son Carl E. Welte, of Novato, CA and daughter M. Carmela Welte of Bellevue, WA. Grandchildren are Randy Welte, Heather Grech, Daphne Etcheverry and John Pantalena, 7 great grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband Carl L. Welte, sisters Nellie Mignacco, Bernie Meissner and Sister Teresa Carmela, O.P. Private services at Holy Cross Cemetery. I was fortunate to meet Catherine once and she was a wonderful person. May she rest in peace with God.
