Catherine V. Schoenmakers, age 77, died Saturday, February 7, 2004 in Federal Way. Catherine is survived by her son, Jim Schoenmakers; daughter, Leanne Schoenmakers; 3 grandchildren, Kristin, Cari Ann and Jamie Schoenmakers; 2 sisters, Patricia Durocher and Arlene Marian; brother, James Maher and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by her husband Arnold “Ike” in 2001. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 02/11/04 from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM at the BONNEY-WATSON Federal Way Funeral Home, 1535 SW Dash Point Road, Federal Way, WA 253 839-7317. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 02/12/04 at 11:00 AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 3939 SW 331st, Federal Way, WA. Interment Gethsemane Catholic Cemetery.

I wish I could be with you all for the celebration of your Moms life. I will treasure our last visit and the beautiful picture I have with her and Peewee.

I will miss her..I am so glad I was able to visit and pray with her on Christmas day. I took my friend Imelda Bwayo from Uganda with me and we had a great time visiting. She gave Imelda a lounging robe and Imelda was blessed by her and told me what a lovely lady Catherine was. I of course agreed. I first met Catherine in 1949 and we have been friends ever since and always kept in touch. Once again I will miss her. There will always be an empty place in my heart as I remember her. I especially remember the many good times we had getting together when Ted and Ike were still here. Catherine I will miss your happy smiles. I know you are now with your wonderful Ike and enjoying the rewards of a life dedicated to our Lord.
