Obituary

Cecelia Ann (Reavis) Murdock died in April 2015 at her residence, in Seattle, Washington. Born in Pomeroy, Washington to Jesse and Mary “Dee” Reavis, Cecelia grew up loving horses and graduated from Pomeroy High School.  She attended Washington State University where she studied nursing and met her husband, Roger.  They married in October of 1951 and enjoyed 63 years together before Roger’s passing in 2012.   Originally settling in Garfield County as wheat farmers, Cecelia and Roger soon moved to the Puget Sound area and lived primarily in Dash Point.  They moved on a brief assignment to Wichita, Kansas for Roger’s work with The Boeing Company., returning to Puget Sound to family and friends. 

Cecilia was an active member of the Tacoma Orthopedic Association in the Brown’s Point Guild supporting Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Center.  She is remembered as a loyal and faithful friend.  In their retirement, Cecelia and Roger enjoyed sailing and travel.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roger and son Bryan.  Cecelia is survived by her son Scott (Gayle), two granddaughters and a great-grandchild. A private remembrance will be held at Washington Memorial Park.
