Obituary
Cecil Wesley Gartin peacefully went to join his Lord on Monday December 22nd 2014. Cecil was born in
Chariton Iowa on April 13th 1927 to Millard Sylvester Gartin and Ruth Jane (Clark) Gartin and was the youngest of four children, three boys and one girl. He is survived by his wife Reva; three sons, Marc, Brad and Wayne; and two daughters Teresa and Ruth; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Cecil was a WWII Veteran, serving in the US Navy; an electrical contractor, starting his own business C&R Electric in 1958, which is still, ran and employed by his three sons, whom he passed his trade onto. He was a member of the Royal Arch Masonic Lodge, the Shiners’ and Alki Masonic Lodge #152, which he also served as Master.
He was an outgoing, friendly man who would go out of his way to help others. He was a dedicated friend and neighbor, giving of his time and resources to help anyone in need. Out of all of his accomplishments, Cecil’s greatest pride was his family. He loved his wife, children, son and daughters’ in-laws, grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything in the world.
A memorial service will be held at West Seattle Christian Church on Saturday January 24th 2015 at 2:00pm to celebrate a life well lived and pleasing to God.

Cec I will always have fond memories of what our families did together when we were young. You were a great man and a great friend to my dad, he thought the world of you and I know that you and dad are raising cane now. Oh Lord beware you will have to keep your eyes on those two. RIP Cecil.

Cec, I want to thank you for all the things you have done for the Reasy Family, you have always been there for each and everyone of us at different ways. I know my Mom and Dad had true love for you and told me what a guy. Please hug him and Doug Reasy for me and tell them that we will be together again one day.

I feel it was a real privilage to know Cecil and his whole family. What a great, caring man, and funny as well. I am sure he has a lot of people laughing right now in Heaven. I will always think of him, every time I open my garage door, as he never gave up on figuring out how to make the opener work on that old door. God Bless his family and may you find peace and comfort in knowing he is with our Lord.

We just learned of Cec’s passing and want to extend to you and your family our sincere sympathy. He was one of the bright spots of the Masonic community. The world is a little dimmer, but heaven has a shining new angel full of mischief and fun. The twinkle in his eye says it all!
we were saddened to hear Cecil passed away, although it has been many years we still remember, We lived across the way in Southworth with all the fruit trees…so long ago, I hope you and your family find peace

Thank you for all the good times our families have spent together during our growing up years with dinners, card games, jokes, teasing, and fun times. I always remember how you loved moms Italian salad and how you would clean the bowl! Oh how you loved that salad! And at your house, us kids would beg you to share the popcorn bowl and you would say “oh.. Did you want some?” …and then laugh. My fondest memory is when your brother Earl (my dad) was terminal and his biggest regret was that he never took the time to make the trip to visit Alaska and you made it possible for him. You planned the trip for just the two of you and made his dream come true. He enjoyed that trip so much! Your brother Earl and sister-in-law Mary loved you dearly as we all do. You were a wonderful brother and uncle and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace.

You smelled bad and were involved in some seriously shady dealings, along with this loser friends, at the Admiral condos along with your loser friends. He smelled like a full diaper. Which is typical of Seattle residents but he seems to relish in smelling like fresh fecal matter.
