Obituary

Chad R. Doyle was born on May 1, 1972 at Doctor’s Hospital in Seattle. He started life in a hurry since he wasn’t due until June. He was a healthy 5lbs 5oz. At three months old he had a passport and traveled to Okinawa where his blond hair and blue eyes were unique and people would gather to look at him and touch his hair. We always knew he was special inside and out. At sixteen months old he returned to Seattle and within a day became a big brother.

As soon as he could walk he could run and he loved anything that moved. his trike, then his bike, he would zip his little dog in his coat and ride the neighborhood.

He was always independent, for his first day of Kindergarten he would not allow his Mom and sister to walk him to school. His favorite toys were his GI Joes, his bike and BB gun. Chad’s best childhood memories were of camping, fishing, and boating. He was always looking forward to his next camping trip with his Grandma and Grandpa or his friends. Long Beach was one of his favorites and became his annual 4th of July destination as an adult. He was sweet and silly and liked to tease his sister. He was always bringing a variety of creatures home that he wanted to keep as pets. His first day of High School he skipped school to rescue a cat and she became a new family pet.

November 30, 1985, when Chad was 13, his mom not only married, but had a family union ceremony, which gave him not only a new father figure, but a new sister.

The meaning of the name Chad described him perfectly, a defender, but not warlike. The traits for the name Chad describe him as a young, handsome, muscular, outdoorsy blond who is happy, intelligent, helpful and nice. Never compromising his principles. An emotional bond with Chad is not taken likely and he is the model for a best friend.

June 18, 1993, at the age of 21, Chad’s daughter Kelsey Marie Doyle was born. His life was forever changed. Chad was such a proud father; he had her name placed on his forearm. He took pride in having his own family. He could not wait until he could teach Kelsey to ride a bike as he did her brother. With them Chad enjoyed playing video games and contests like, who can make the silliest face.

Chad was caring and thoughtful and always put others first. His family and friends were very important to him. He was a man of few words but many feelings.

The same things he enjoyed as a child followed him into adulthood. He still loved his pets, the go-karts and bumper cars. The bicycle was replaced by motorcycles, boats and cars. His numerous cars gave him great pleasure. Does anyone know how many Camaro’s he had? He enjoyed racing, four wheeling, campfires, fireworks and simply hanging in the garage with his friends. He took pride in a clean house, car and perfect lawn.

This summer was one of Chad’s greatest; he took time out to enjoy his life and made the most of the camping and boating season. With the news of expecting a new baby, Chad was looking at all the aspects of his life and taking steps towards his future. He had angels looking over his shoulder. We can all take solace in that he left us with many great memories and a future of watching his children grow.

Chad’s daughter Kelsey writes:

These past days have been really hard for me and probably everybody else too. We all loved and cared for my Dad very much. This has been on of the greatest summers ever for me and my Dad. Losing him is the worst part of it. Same for everybody else too. To me, he is the number one Dad, friend, son or whatever. Because he cared for us all and wants us to be happy.

Thank you. –by Kelsey Doyle

Chad’s sister Shannon Doyle writes:

Heaven has called for me but I am not far

Look around and you will see.

I am the rainbow in the water.

I am the shimmer in the sun.

I am the wind that blows against your face.

When you find me please don’t mourn.

Look at me and you will see

I am so happy, I am so free.

I loved to fulfill my days like they were my last.

I feared nothing and that was me at my best.

God saw that I was just too special so he

cut my time with you short.

Now there are no limits to what I can do

I can race a thousand cars.

Live by the water and play all day.

I can be anywhere at anytime watching all of you with joy.

Now that I am resting,

try to wish me well and please don’t be sad.

For I am so happy, I am so free.

Written for my brother with love,

Shannon Doyle

I will always be grateful for having known Chad and will treasure the moments with him and stories about him. I watched Chad grow from a boy to a man when his dear, sweet Kelsey was born and saw the magnitude of his character as he embraced Josh as his own, too. A true measure of a man which is a testament to the devoted upbringing of Becky and Bill. Chad, I close my eyes and I can see you; in the silence of the night, I can hear you. You will never be/could ever be forgotten.

My Dearest Chad,

The days since you left us have been the most difficult of my life. I’ve shed more tears than you have days in your life. How could I write a eulogy for my son!!! The pain is so deep and what lifts my is the spitit of you. You were so loved and so deeply missed.

Love you always and forever, Mom

I want to thank everyone for your kindness in this most difficult time. I especially want to thank Shannon for making her brother’s memorial service so perfect, Corrina for his celebration party, and Bill for being my everything and without you I could not have gotten through this. I love you more than ever!!! Becky

Chad was one of a kind

i can honestly say that i have never met or known anyone with the level of sincerity in which he showed all his friend’s

he was the type of person that could see through our faults and not judge us by them

he was there if you needed to talk

he was there if you needed a hand-up

all the while never telling anyone your business

I will truly miss my friend and I know all of you will too

We didn’t know Chad personally, but know his dad, Robert, quite well.

We know Chad resembled his dad in looks. If he resembled his dads caring, giving personality, he must’ve been quite a guy.

Our hearts are sad for Robert and the rest of Chad’s family.

We wish you all special memories and peace at this most difficult time.

MY HEART GOES OUT TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT CHADS HEART TOUCHED.HE WAS TRUELY UNIQUE AND SPECIAL WITH THE BIG HEART HE HAD.MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYER ARE WITH ALL. I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE A LETTER THAT WAS WRITTEN TO HIS FATHER ROBERT.

CHAD DEMONSTRATED HIS ZEST FOR LIFE ON HIS RIDE ON THE COLUMBIA-WHICH WE ARE NOT SURE WAS HIS ONLY ADVENTURE. THE OLD CLICHES “LIFE IS TOO SHORT”, “YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE”, “LIFE IS A GAMBLE” ARE SO TRUE. CHAD UNLIKE MOST HAD THE SENSE OF ADVENTURE NOW, NOT LATER-WHEN IT IS TOO LATE. LIKE THE TIM MCGRAW SONG “LIVE LIKE YOU ARE DYING”

I WENT SKY DIVING

I WENT ROCKY MOUNTAIN CLIMBING

I WENT 2.7 SECONDS ON A BULL NAMED BLUMANCH…

LIKE TOMORROW WAS A GIFT AND YOU GOT ETERNITY TO THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU DO WITH IT…

YOU WILL BE LEARNING MORE ABOUT CHAD THROUGH HIS DEATH THAN THROUGH HIS LIFE-WE HOPE YOU HAVE THE STRENGTH TO RECONGNIZE THAT ALTHOUGH HIS LIFE WAS SHORT, HE DID LIVE LIKE HE WAS DYING.WE HOPE YOU CAN SMILE EACH TIME YOU THINK OF THE FULL LIFE HE HAD EXPERIENCED.

LIKE JOHN BEA’S FAMILY SAID…

“CHAD AND JOHN WILL REMAIN TOGETHER RIDING ON THE FASTEST CLOUD THEY CAN FIND”.

MY SINCERE THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS TO ALL THAT WAS TOUCHED BY CHAD.

TRACY

Chad’s memorial service was very nice. It was so brave of Kelsey to get up infront of everybody and read her poem to her dad. She had everyone in tears. And we’re sure it was difficult for Shannon to read the eulogy. Whoever did the video tape did a beautiful job of catching Chad’s spirit. But a very important person in Chad’s life was not mentioned. His dad, Robert. His heart is broken and he will miss his son terribly. We want him to know he is loved and thought of at this difficult time.

James remembers the fun He, Chad, and TJ had and the trouble they used to get into together. They were always very close. Having a cousin like Chad was a blessing. He is truly missed. I knew Chad was a special person as was seen with the amount of lives he touched. My heart goes out to all of our family members and friends who have suffered such a loss. We take comfort in knowing that he is not only with John and Emoni but with Grandma and Grandpa also. He will never be forgotten. We are all grateful to have known such a wonderful man.

I want to let Chad’s family know how sorry I am for your loss. I camped with Chad and John that weekend. Chad told me that Kelsey was his best friend. Chad said Kelsey’s mom was an awesome mom and a cool friend to him. Chad talked to me about how happy he was with his life. When Chad told me he was going to be a dad again he said it with so much excitement.

I didn’t know Chad very well. But what I did know is he loved his family. We had a really fun weekend and I’ll never forget it.

Hi. I realy will miss my dad very much and can’t wait tell I can tell my baby brother or sister of the many great memories I had with him. I am greatful that he was doing something he loved. It’s fun to know that my dad thought of me as his best friend. So it’s like losing a friend and a dad to me I guess.

Love,

I know I have already wrote, but I wanted to type in a poem I wrote for my dad for a contest. The title of it is “MY hero is my dad.” The reason it’s called that is because they gave a topic to write about and the topic was a different kind of hero.

Poem:

My hero is someone who protects me. My hero is someone who is not there to feel, but to love. My hero is someone who watches down on me saying everything will be alright. My hero does not age. My hero is someone who is everywhere I go watching me, comforting me, and cheering me on. My hero did not create everything, but created one good thing…me… My hero is right here, right now… in my heart. Can you guess who my hero is? My dad.

If you ever want to get a copy of this poem just e-mail me or call me…Or just print.

Well, it is coming up on 1 year now since the accident that tore alot of lives apart. I hope all have started to rebuild and carry on. Chad and John are in our thoughts every day. I know they are looking down on all of us and I believe they are proud of what they see. The families are still suffering, however, we have attempted to resume some normality. I think that is what they would want. My prayers go out to all family and friends who live with this tragedy on a daily basis. We will all be reunited with them sometime in the future. Until then, Rest in Peace, boys.
