Charlie, Rest in peace friend. The time spent flying and working with you were good.. Looking forward to seeing you againg somewhere above 29,000 ft.
I first met Charlie as a flight tester for the Airforce on early AWACS. When he retired from the military we hired him at Boeing based on his expertise and ability to work very well with others. I worked with Charlie at numerous places around the world and admired him greatly.
Unfortunately, I was not blessed to have shared the many years he served as a flight crew member aboard the USAF EC-121 airplane. He left the Air Force after more than 20 years of Dedicated Military Service. Charlie’s dedicated service to our Country, United States Air Force and Boeing Company was exemplary.
Ours was a friendship of respect and understanding for each other. I will miss that special friendship that only comes along once in a lifetime. Scotty
I first became acquainted with Charlie following my assignment to the AWACS Joint Test Force at the Boeing factory in Seattle. As former EC-121 crewmembers we had a lot of stories and memories to talk about. Charlie was easy going and a pleasure to be around, therefore friendship came easy. Following our USAF retirement we both went to work for the Boeing Company in the AWACS division. During our time at Boeing we interfaced regularly, I greatly respected his views and opinions. Charlie will surely be missed by all. Rest in Peace Charlie
Charlie and I flew together on the EC-121and E-3. He was an exceptional Radar Operator and NCO. After completing his illustrious Air Force career Charlie worked for Boeing where he continued to contribute to the development of the E-3. He was a coworker and a good friend who we will miss greatly. We extend our sympathy to his family and hope you find comfort and pride in the fact that MSgt Charles L Meyer served his Country with honor and dignity.
Rest in peace my friend

I had the pleasure of knowing Charlie both professionally and personally during my assignment to the AWACS Joint task Force at Boeing Field. I always enjoyed his company both on and off the job. He was very professional and always friendly to everyone. He was one of those all-around nice guys that you just never forget. I consider it a great priviledge to have known him.
