Obituary
Chew Bo Chin, loving father and grandfather, passed away on August 20th, 2018. Bo was born on January 7, 1941 in China. He met his future wife, Ting Sau Tam, in Hong Kong in 1962 when she traveled there to visit her sister. They had a long distance relationship as he had moved to Seattle, Washington in 1963. Three years later, he was able to return to Hong Kong to marry Ting on June 1st, 1966. Six months later, they traveled back to Seattle as a happily married couple, anticipating the birth of their first child.
Those that knew Bo well, know that he enjoyed time with his family, often cooking elaborate dinners for them. He was also a master gardener and could often be found tending to his many plants and vegetable gardens at his home on Beacon Hill that he shared with his family for over 50 years. The family has taken comfort in knowing that he is now together with his wife, Ting, who passed away in 2009.
Bo is survived by his four children and their spouses: Kathy & her husband, Andy; Jerry & his wife, Theresa; Jeffrey & his wife, Jill; and his youngest son, Jeremy & his partner Mitch. Bo also leaves six grandchildren to cherish his memory: Amanda (26), Kayla (22), Kaitlyn (16), Ethan (14), Ella (13) and Dylan (12).
