Obituary
Christina Marie Jonassen was born on Thursday July 2nd, 1992 to Becca’s cousin, Pete and his wife Corina.
Through God’s goodness, perfect plan and much prayer, Tina (as she was known by family and friends) was adopted by Chris and Becca. Chris and Becca were there from Tina’s first breath to her last and they have been blessed to not only love and raise Tina, but also her brother Jeremy who joined the family in 1998.
Tina attended Wing Like Elementary School, Pacific Middle School, Mount Rainier High School and received her High School Diploma from Seattle Urban Academy (SUA) in 2010.
Following her graduation from SUA, Tina enrolled in Highline Community College and later relocated to Shoreline Community College. It came as no surprise when Tina made known her plan to pursue a career in Nursing since she loved and desired to help people.
From childhood, Tina was a bright, bubbly, funny girl. She loved music and you would often find her singing or dancing to the rhythm of music, often Disney songs, since Disneyland was a special place for Chris, Becca and Tina and they would travel there yearly.
Not did Tina love life, but she knew how to enjoy each moment and she loved to laugh. If you ask anyone what’s something they remember about Tina, it’s guaranteed that you will hear something along the lines of, “Tina always had a warm, beautiful smile on her face.” That smile and joy was a reflection of one of the kindness, most tender hearts you would ever meet.
Though we began to see changes in Tina’s personality towards the end of her life due to the mental illness she battled, one thing remained constant: Tina loved her family and cherished their pictures, letters and memories all the way to the end.
Tina joins her grandmother Tautala (whom Tina lovingly called Grandma Bingo) and her Uncle Duke in heaven. She leaves here on earth her dad Chris, step-mother Karie, mom Becca, Grandfather Jim, Grandmother Pat (Grandma Mickey Mouse) younger brother Jeremy (JJ) those who she was raised with and considered siblings, Genesis (K.C.), Janastasia (Jana), Katalina (Lina) and Russell, and so many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends who adored Tina and will carry on her legacy and fight.
