Obituary
Chris was a kind and gentle soul who had great passion for drawing, writing and music. Chris started drawing when he was 5 years old and he was proud that he had never stopped. Chris drew characters from Silver Surfer, Spiderman, Ninja Turtles to his own creation Toby the Tank and much more. He honed his craft and was always looking for ways to expand on his art.Chris loved to write and was working on a graphic novel.
Chris has been walking since he was 9 months old. When he was less than 2 years old he walked with his father Toby from our apartment in Burien to his grandparent house, over 1 ½ miles. As an adult Chris would walk anywhere and everywhere to get where he wanted to be. I see Chris’s face in every person walking down the streets.
Chris played lead and bass guitar and was a member of 2 bands. Chris wrote lyrics and notes and contributed music with the bands he was in. His passion for playing propelled him and filled him with joy.
Chris loved life, his family and friends, he was curious about everything. If there was a subject that he was interested in, he would research it and find out everything he could about it. It was very important to Chris to be informed and understand the various nuances of the music he liked and the art he loved.
Chris’s musical tastes were diverse when he was little his mother introduced him to Queen. His favorite band was the ‘ButtHole Surfers’, other bands he like included the Doors, Iggy Pop, Husker Du, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Misfits, Ramones, Led Zeppelin, Blondie and so many more.
Christopher is survived by his father Donald ‘Toby’, mother Linda and sister Angela Marincovich. Rest in peace my son, no amount of time will ever fill the void you have left, but sweet memories of you I will hold like treasure.
Dear Family,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear loved one and send you my sincere condolences. The passing of a loved one can leave us feeling lost and heartbroken. But I’ve found very comforting words in God’s word, the Bible. At Psalms 55:22, God promises to sustain those who throw their burden upon Him. God will also do away with death all together as brought out at Revelation 21:4. The bible also holds out the hope of a resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in death at Acts 24:15. May Jehovah, the God of all comfort who comforts us in all our trials (2 Corinthians 1:3,4), comfort you in your time of need. Heartfelt prayers are with your family.
he was such a good friend to me, talented, kind and funny
I miss him with all my heart
A day has not gone by in this past year that I have not thought about Chris. He was a second son to me and the brother that my son Sean never had. They grew up together and Chris would always stop to talk to me when he came in. When the boys were about 17 years old Tim and I took them to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for Thanksgiving. I will never forget the images of them frolicking in the surf of the Sea of Cortez. Chris was always such pleasant company. I loved him and I miss him. When I am sewing I will often feel his presence…he always stopped to see what I was working on when he came over. Thank you Chris for your little visits from beyond.
