Obituary

Clinton P. Ross

He was born June 15, 1925, in Coffee County, Alabama, and his family moved to Florida in 1938. He joined the Coast Guard at age 18, serving during WWII, and met Bette Laush while on leave in Seattle. They married on February 23, 1946, and made the Seattle area their home for over 58 years, most recently living in Federal Way. Clint had a variety of occupations, including being a business owner, and he retired from Seattle Steel. He enjoyed the Mariners and the Seahawks, and he seldom missed a game broadcast. He also loved puttering around his home and garage, always improving what engineers had designed. After his wife passed away on October 12, Clint went back to Florida to spend time with his sisters. He died from heart failure on November 16th, twelve days after he arrived. His Florida family held a funeral service before his body was returned to Washington. Survivors include daughters Pat John Sutter, Teri Brad Tait, Debbie Mike Berck, and Ursula Miller; grandchildren Toni Tim Hansen, Angela Kevin Rodriguez, Aimee Phil Stambach, Carrie and Kim Boers, Kyle Tait, and Michael, Aaron, and Rachel Berck; and great-granddaughters Chastity and Kayla Rodriguez; sisters Dovie Carter, Myrtice Croft, Frances O’Donnell, and Dessie Mahoney; and brother-in-law John Laush. Services will be Wednesday, November 24th, at Bonney-Watson 1535 SW Dash Point Rd, Federal Way. Visitation will begin at noon, followed by a Catholic Prayer Service at 2:00 P.M. Memorials to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, 9 Lake Bellevue Dr. #116, Bellevue, WA 98005 and Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue, Pomeranian Group P.O. Box 3523, Redmond, WA 98073.
