Obituary
Cleora Mae O’Brien passed away at age 88 on March 6th 2014. Cleora was born July 5, 1925 in Yakima, Washington, to Clarence and Mary Ruley. She was preceded in death by her 2 half brothers; Lyle and Clair, and Brother; Richard. She has one surviving sister; Eleanor Gusa. Cleora graduated valedictorian from Auburn High School in 1944. She was on the honor society, and also member of the girls A club. Cleora married her high school sweetheart, Harold J. O’Brien on June 19, 1945. While Harold was in the Merchant Marine service during World War 2, she worked for the War Department (Army Air Forces), later moving on to working for Boeing eventually retiring at the age of 65.
Along with her husband Harold, she raised three sons, Michael, Kevin (deceased) and Craig in what is now called Tukwila. She loved visiting her five grand children and twelve great grandchildren, visiting them as often as possible and taking great joy in watching them grow. Cleora was a quite lady; she was loving and loyal to her family. She was married to Harold for almost 50 years before he passed away. She loved to read, travel, go camping and to work in her flower beds. She was very active in her church volunteering in their office and attending bible study groups and belonged to Early Birds while there. While in her later years she lived with her son Craig, and Nancy his wife in Buckley, while still enjoying traveling to the mountains and ocean whenever she could which she loved so much.
Cleora will be dearly missed by her family .
A memorial of her life will be celebrated March 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Boulevard Park Presbyterian Church. 1822 S. 128th St, Burien, WA 98168. (206) 243-2600
The church is located just east of hwy 509 and just north of hwy 518. From 509 take the 128th St Exit and head east. We are one block east of Des Moines Memorial Hwy. From 518 take the Des Moines Memorial Hwy north to 128th St, take a right and we are one block east on the left.

What a lovely person, Aunt Cleora was! I have been so blessed by having her in my life throughout the years.
