I was so sad to hear about Clydes death – he was always a special friend of my parents, Lloyd & Dorothy Parsons. The funeral service was very touching and it was good to know so many people loved him. – I was happy to see Pauline and Jim and his family. I share your sorrow. Riley is now in Heaven and is possibly sharing a cup of coffee with my parents.

My prayers go out to the Ewing family. Riley was a great person. I have great memories of him when he was working at my parents house many years ago and he and I would visit. He will be greatly missed.

Riley came to us to help complete a project that had been left undone by a company. Riley came in, looked it over, said quietly “I think it can be done!”. That was the beginning of a wonderful friendship. We loved having him stop over, have a cup of coffee and at lunch, his hotdogs. His stories were wonderful, but the caring attitude and love he extended to our 6 children was magnificent. He felt like a grandfather to them which was nice as their carpenter grandfather was not longer with us. John and I, with our family, are grateful to have know this wonderful man. Our sympathies go to Pauline, Jim and the entire family.

Pauline, our condolences on the loss of your lifetime companion. And Tim, your grandpa. We should all be so lucky to live such an active life. To be able to keep up with us 50 yr olds while fishing on a boat on Elliott Bay when he was approaching 90.. How miraculous! He was a marvel to us, someone to look up to and respect. He will be missed by all.

Pauline, Jim and family,

I was so sorry to hear of Clyde’s passing. We’ve enjoyed knowing your family for many years. I remember Clyde helping Dad build his new garage, and also the neat china cabinet in the kitchen. He was SO talented. After you moved to Arizona, Clyde always stopped by to see Dad on his way through Seattle. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I was so sorry to hear Clyde passed away. I’m Alice Nelson’s daughter. Your family was such a part of Calvary Lutheran Church. I remember Clyde taking Walther League on his boat. And Diane coming to church and the boys.

My thoughts and prayers are with you always.
