Conrad E. Van Beek
Conrad passed away June 6th of an apparent heart attack. He was born May 11th, 1939 in Pipestone, Minnesota to A. Leonard and Gertrude Adriana Van Loo Van Beek. Conrad joined the National Guard after graduating from Lynden Christian School. He settled in Seattle after the military where he met his wife Judy of 48 years. They had two children, Ada and Earl. He retired 9 years ago from the Ironworkers Local 86 in Seattle and spent his time working around the house, and helping others. Conrad’s family and friend will miss him. He is survived by his wife, Judy, daughter Ada Yamaguchi and her husband Douglas, son Earl Van Beek, four grandchildren, Nathan, Nicolaus, Kara, and Noah Yamaguchi, sisters Freda Groen, Betty Sterk, and Cornel Crofton brothers Herm Van Beek, Leonard Van Beek, and Harold Van Beek. Services for Conrad will be held Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church in Kent, WA. Memorials in Conrad’s memory may be made to your favorite charity.

June 17, 2009. I was so very shocked to learn of Conrad’s sudden death…all the while telling you of Ted’s death! I really liked Conrad and was so happy to have him and you Judy as new friends for me. JoAnn Hubbard
