Obituary
Beloved Cynthia Ann Dunsmore, “Cindy”, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024, at the age of 85, at Magnolia Senior Loving Care, in Burien, WA.
Widow of Frank Dunsmore and daughter of Eleanor Langdon and William Langdon.
Cindy was born in Chicago, Illinois and lived and worked in Evanston, Illinois, where she achieved her Master’s Degree in Nursing Education. Cindy spent her latter career as a nurse recruiter for a woman-owned small business, serving military contracts. Cindy was active in the Evanston Levy Center for seniors, where she led a book club, until she moved to the Seattle area in 2014, to face aging and live closer to daughter, Catherine.
Cindy loved classical music, was an avid reader, was passionate about politics and sports, especially the Chicago Cubs.
Cindy will be dearly missed by daughter, Catherine, and DIL, Bonnie Benson and family.
Cindy was known for her great sense of humor and her ability to brighten a room with conversation. Cindy possessed a great love for children. Contributions to a cause close to her heart can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 10:30 am at:

Every time I shared Cindy’s company I knew I was going to come away with many smiles, laughs and left with a lasting memories. I always looked forward to the next time with her and she will be missed by many. Many hugs and much love to Catherine and all who knew Cindy.
