Obituary
Cynthia Young, born 1915, passed away November 28, 2003 in Seattle at the age of 88. Cynthia, her mother and sister came over from Wales in 1924 on the sister ship of the Titanic, “The Olympic”, moving to the Seattle area. Her father had come over prior to his family. She graduated from Highline High School in 1934, then attended business college. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John Elmer Young who owned The Stewart Lumber Co. Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Judy Baars; her son Bill Young Barbara; 4 grandchidren, Jon and Jeff Baars and Ryan and Matt Young and sister, Gwynfil Stokes. She was loved by her family and many friends and will be missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2003 at 1:30 PM at the BONNEY-WATSON Parker Chapel, 900 SW 146th St., Burien, WA. The family prefers memorial contributions be made to The American Lung Association.
