Amazing things you may not know about Dale: At the age of 50 he ran a marathon! He finished 18th in his age group in the Portland, OR Marathon. He graduated from Coastline Community College in California, June 1995 with an Associated Arts Degree in Pre-law and then went onto Chapman University and graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies and Business Management at the age of 59!

He was not afraid to pick up and move somewhere new and this lead him to live in Ohio, California, Utah, and Washington. He was an avid health enthusiast, running many 10 K’s. He also excelled in biking, skiing, tennis, and rollerblading.

While living in California he wanted to know if it was possible to ski in the mountains and rollerblade on the beach in a single day. Guess what? He did! He loved the outdoors and took his three children on many camping and fishing trips. A most memorable trip was to Pike’s Peak.

As a father, he was active as an Indian Guides with his two sons. He was a sports fan and especially liked baseball. As a kid he was on many baseball teams and as an adult played with his brother Jerry on the Busy Bees. In his later years he never missed a game from the Toledo Mudhens to the Seattle Mariners. He loved music from Sinatra to Dylan. He was a self-taught guitar player and had a beautiful singing voice. He performed in musicals and at church. He genuinely loved to learn and never thought it was too late to learn a new language, a new instrument, or skill. He constantly strived to improve through careful diet, exercise, and education.

He was born on April 29, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio the son of Victor Alphonse Lemle and Geneva Beatrice Searcy. He attended Macomber Vocational Technical High School in Toledo and upon graduation in June 1957 worked at Burndy Corporation. In the late 1950’s and early 1960’s he served as a wireman and radio operator in the Army Reserve often training at Camp Breckinridge in Kentucky.

From 1971 to 1991 Dale worked at Rowe Industries in Toledo, Ohio as a Quality Control Manager where he oversaw the manufacture of electrical cable assemblies used in Nuclear Power plants and Nuclear submarines.

At age 52 Dale moved to Southern California where he pursued an interest in legal work holding jobs as a Law Library Clerk at Coastline College in addition to working as a legal researcher at the law offices of Ron VanBlarcomand Quintrall & Associates.

On September 24, 1961 Dale married Linda Sue Crouse and they had 3 children: Laura Rachel Lemle-Birch, Steven Dale Lemle, and Eric David Lemle. He has three grandchildren: Isabella Karen Birch, Tavian Lemle and Emeric Lemle.

Dale will be deeply missed by his daughter, sons and granddaughter Bella, his ex-wife and friend Linda, son in law, Steve and his brothers and sisters, Jerry Keefe, Barbara Meacham, Marsha Rivas and Mark Lemle.
