Obituary
Damon Moore was born on September 10, 1932, in Ashland, Louisiana. He was the second of five children born to Fred and Pearl Moore.
Damon served at New Hope Baptist Church for many years. He was trained as a Deacon under the late Rev. C.E. Williams. There he met his wife Ethel in the summer of 1957. They were wed the following summer on June 7, 1958. To their union was born two sons, Reginald G. Moore and Kenneth W. Moore.
For the last twelve years, Damon was a faithful member at Paradise Baptist Church Seattle, WA. He served on the deacon board, sung in the choir, he was kitchen coordinator, he drove the church van, he was a member of the pastor’s aid committee, and he always visited the sick and shut in. Damon was well known as a praying man of God by everyone who knew him.
Damon leaves a legacy of undying love to his beloved wife, Ethel Moore, of 51 years of marriage; their children, Emanuel Finch Seattle, WA; Walter Finch wife Arlene, Fife, WA; Reginald Moore wife Bonita, Renton, WA; and Kenneth Moore wife Chevelle, Maple Valley, WA. Spiritual sons, Rev. Troy Brown and Rev. Kenneth Jordan; eleven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two sisters, Nelvin Rainwater Monroe, LA and Thelma Crumbly Natchitoches, LA; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
