Daniel (Dan) Wilson Longan
Dan was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend to many. He was born in Bremerton, Washington on February 28th, 1946. He passed away at Franciscan Hospice House in Tacoma on December 18th, 2012.
Dan joined the Army immediately after graduating from Chief Sealth High School. He was enlisted from June 1964 until June 1967 and reenlisted September 1967 until September 1970, becoming a disabled veteran of the Vietnam War. Dan was a welder for the shipyards and a part of the boilermakers union. He liked to spend his time fishing and taking his boats out. He was an automobile and motorcycle enthusiasts at times as well. He also had a talent with wood working. Though he could at times be a quiet man, he was also quite the jokester.
He is survived by his mother Stella, his older sisters Karen Martin & Patricia Smith and his children Leona Slagle, Tamra Lee, Danny Longan and grandchildren Drew, Cassadee, Caileen, and Jaden and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Raymond and his two other older sisters Nancy Uhl & Diana Smith.Daniel Wilson Longan is and will be immensely missed.
He will for sure be missed plenty!
A celebration of life services will be held for Dan on Saturday December 29, 2012 at 11:00am – 2:00pm, at Embassy Suites in Tukwila at 15920 West Valley Highway, 425.227.8844
