To The Family of Mr. Daniel Powers Bergin
I would like to express my deepest sympathy to each of you. Although we are not acquainted with one another, we are acquainted with the pain when our loved ones fall asleep in death.
Our Heavenly Father feels the pain that you are going through. When he created the first Man and Woman it was his purpose that they and their offspring including us live forever without the effects of sickness and death.
His purpose has not changed for he promises that the day is soon to come in which he will wipe away the tears of sorrow from our eyes forever and death will be no more.
He promises too that your loved ones, my loved ones and many others will hear his voice and come out of the memorial tombs graves.
Don was a great, enthusiatic person! He had many adventures and shared them all.
I am sorry to hear of your loss. Daniel was a good man and his memory will live on.
I’m just a USNA classmate passing on my condolences to Dan’s family.
My condolences to all who knew and loved Dan. I enjoyed seeing and talking to him again at our reunion in September. He will be sorely missed by all of us who knew him at the Academy and by those of us who also shared many common experiences with him through Navy flight training and later at Delta. I would say rest in peace, but I’m sure he’s already on the move again looking for the next adventure.
Some days are just better than others. And so it was one day last year when Dan came into my office and suggested we go for a run. No, I mean a ski run. Actually I mean a ski & board run. It had snowed significantly the night before and the backside had yet to be opened. We caught the drop in Mineral Basin on an epic waist-deep day and I remember Dan’s face as we got back on the chairlift after that first run. He had all this snow melting down his cheeks and a grin from ear to ear that no words can describe. I will always remember that moment and the pure unadulterated joy of simply being out there.
Heartfelt condolences to Daniel’s family from the Delta pilots of ALPA Council 81, Salt Lake City, UT.
Jack and I will miss Dan greatly. We have known him for over 16 years but haven’t seen him for about 1, since his last visit here. We trained for a couple climbs up Rainer with him and had lots of Hot tub parties. Lots of laughs and Memories. He lived life to the fullest and was always looking for the next adventure. I know Jack will miss not kiteboarding with him. Peace to all and know that Dan brought alot of joy and always challenged people by making them try harder. His presence will be missed.
It was always exciting sailing with Dan. He took live by the fullest and had fun.
I hope we will follow his lead in taking live in big strides.
My thoughts and prayers go to Dan’s family and friends.
There are so many of us from the Class of ’82 and the Prowler community that won’t be able to be there with you, but know that you are in our prayers and hearts. Dan lived our class motto better than most…
Audacio ad Inexplorata
Our thoughts and prayers for Dan’s family and friends.
Ned enjoyed visiting with Dan on many occasions. I wish I could be there, but my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
With love,
Sharon
