Darlene Anna Curley, age 86, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 1, 2019 in Normandy Park, WA. Her husband of 32 years, Russell, predeceased Darlene in February 2005. Darlene lived an extraordinary life. She was an avid adventurer and traveler of the world. She had deep connection to God and to St. Philomena Catholic Church; a member of the choir, she was never shy about voicing her preferences frequently suggesting a particular hymn and raising her voice to the Lord with exuberance. She would want to say a thank you to St. Francis Parrish who made weekly services at Solstice Senior Living facility where she resided until her death. Darlene strived to be a unifying factor in an ever-expanding family. Having no children of her own, she leaves behind a loving extended family: two step-sons by her husband, Michael and Timothy Curley, a step-daughter Christine Pratt (Bruce); step-son-in-law Michael Jacobs; grandchildren Yolanda Medina (Edward), Evelyn Julian (Ceasar), Michelle Trammell (David), Anthony Jacobs(Wendy), Erin Worle (Juan), Kerry Gibson, Brandi Stark, Heather Thys, and Hilary Zavala (Anthony); fifteen amazing great-grandchildren and thirteen precious great, great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 13, 2019 ,11:15 AM at St. Philomena Catholic Church, 1790 S 222nd St, Des Moines, WA 98198. Interment to follow at Gethsemane Catholic Cemetery 37600 Pacific Highway South, Federal Way, WA 98003.. Grandma I will miss you. But I’m glad to know.your with grandpa again. I hope you are visiting with everyone else that’s in heaven.
