M/M Kyes,
I am sorry to hear about David. I wanted David to be there when I hit my 20 and punch out of the military. Like David said to me, stay in for 20 and make everybody proud… I only have 2 more to go and I hope I have and will continue to make eveybody including David proud. Love you and miss you. V/R Tony
We are so sorry we missed the memorial service for Dave.He was a true gentleman and I enjoyed working with him at R.W. Beck for over 20 years. He was my “right hand man” for so many years in office facilities and we spent many hours together planning and moving Beck offices and personnel. He dedicated his life to Beck, Scouting and the Citizens Patrol in King County and will be missed by many.I am so glad I got to spend several hours with him and Nancy at the VA before he passed. He was a true friend and I will miss him.
Warm summer days and mountain trails come to mind when I think of my cousin, David. Some of my favorite memories are adventures we shared as young kids, exploring the old ghost town of Monte Cristo. His grandpa and grandma Kyes lived there when mining made it a thriving community. Oh how we loved to hear their thrilling stories as we hiked the trails, or when we all sat around the old cook stove.
David was my companion throughout much of my growing up years, and of course, it was not until I was older that I realized how very patient and kind he was to me. Though I did not deserve it, he remained tenaciously loyal, and loyalty grew to be one of David’s strongest character traits throughout his life.
In the book of Proverbs 22:1 it is said that “A good name is more desireable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.” Thank you David for leaving a good name, for living honorably, loyally, and well. Thank for your kindness, and unfailing love. We are so grateful to God for all our dear memories of you!
David, what a sweet, quiet friend. So faithful to Citizen’s Academy and CERT. We missed you every time you went south to the sunshine, and now we will be missing you aways. My prayers and sympathy go out to your dear wife, family and friends.
Nancy, You will miss your David we know. He was a good neighbor with his willingness to help his neighbors with their little projects. Wayne and Bill will miss him and his daily dog walks with AZ. He is with our Lord and keeping track of us all. We will miss him. We will keep you in our prayers….
I’ll always remember seeing David walk the dog several times a day – what good companions they were. David was a good neighbor and “gave back” to his community through his service. He’ll be missed.
Nancy, Shirley and I send our condolences to you and yours.Dave was a great luncheon companion and great to know during my five short years at the R.W. Beck. Please know that we are thinking of you and yours at this sad time.
Nancy Thinking of you at this sad time. I have many fond memories of the years I worked with David at R.W. Beck

Dear Nancy
So sorry to hear about Dave. He was a very dedicated employee of R W Beck for many years and it was a personal pleasure to work with him. May all your warm memories of Dave ease the sorrow that you feel.
Elaine
I’m sorry I didn’t get to know David better being involved in Citizen’s Patrol with him. My prayers and thoughts are with you, Nancy.
On behalf of the staff of the King County Sheriff’s Office Southwest Precinct, the City of Burien Police and the City of SeaTac Police, we thank David for his years of volunteer service to our agencies and the citizens we serve. We also offer Nancy our sincere condolences. Our thoughts are with you.
Dave;
It was such so much fun working with you on the Burien Citizens’ Patrol. I will always remember the fun we had together at all of the functions, espcially when when you dressed up as Sparky at Kids Day for the Fire Department.
I know you are in a better place, but that sure doesn’t ease the pain of how much you will be missed.
Look down on us now and then and make sure we’re doin’ things right.
Love,
Pam
I’m sorry to hear that Dave has passed away. I enjoyed working with him here at R.W. Beck.
David’s quiet and kind demeanor spoke volumes. It’s sad to lose a shipmate.
Nancy our prayers are with you.
Sincerly Yours

David epitomized the aspect of a true Scouter, that is he was all about serving. I’m thankful for the many Camporees at which he and his sidekick Irv supported me in Registrations, and with his outstanding signage. He was a good friend to the Scouting program, and he will be remembered as the old time scouters talk at Camporees and outings, while remembering the good times.
Dave was a wonderful brother-in-law and a great husband to my sister. I remember many great times we shared and only wish there could have been more. Rest peaceful dear friend. Janet
May the memories of David remind you of the special person who will always be in your heart. May God be with you.
With deepest sympathy
I’m remebering Dave from when we were kids- we went camping and snowshoeing, he taught me how to whittle. I also enjoyed the rides in his convertable. I’ll always have good memories of Dave. Nancy my thoughts are with you as well

Dave was a great man and a great friend. We had memorible moments in and out of Scouting together. He was always faithful and true. God Bless you Dave and thanks for being a part of my life.
Nancy, Our deepest sympathy on your loss. Although we don’t know you well or haven’t seen you often, Kathy & John Park often spoke of you both and of how much fun you all had at your camp outs. Dave always seemed to be such a kind, soft-spoken man and I know he will be very missed by everyone who knew him.
David was a giveing and careing person, Dave was my Icon and will miss him very much, Dave was alway’s there to help, David was one of the greatest,David was a friend for ever.
Your family is in my prayers. Janet has been keeping me updated on both of you. I’m so sorry to hear aboud David; I know that he will be greatly missed.
Dave was a fun and faithful friend and he will be missed. Dave hand crafted a “shingle” as a gift for me after I passed the bar exam to become a lawyer. I keep it in my office and it reminds me of many good times we spent in Scouting.
We have wonderful memories of happy times with Dave. He was a wonderful man and great friend. We will miss him very much but are thankful that he is at peace.
David was a good friend of my family. We enjoyed so many things, Holidays, camping, etc. He and Carol had pumpkin pie contests on Thanksgiving. So many memories. He will forever live in our hearts.
