Obituary

David S. Medaugh

April 14, 1941- February 5, 2013

Our beloved Brother and Uncle, David Medaugh, passed away on February 5, 2013 at home in Burien, Washington.  David was born in Flint, Michigan to Clarence and Merle Medaugh. He left Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1962 and made his way to Seattle. After a couple years in Renton he began and completed an apprenticeship in printing and became a four-color pressman. He met his future wife Diane at the print shop where they both worked in Renton.  After a few years together they both made career changes. Diane went to work for the Boeing Corporation and David started driving trucks and operating equipment through the Teamsters Union Local 174 at the West Seattle freight yards. He retired from Local 174 and Rail Terminal Services in 2004.  David started a home repair and lawn care business after he retired. He had many clients through the years he ran the business until his health forced him to close it.  David was an avid motorcycle rider for over forty years. He was a member of the Gypsy Jokers for many years. His last bike was a 2003 Commemorative Harley which he rode until his passing from a heart attack

David leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Carol Medaugh of Wasilla, Alaska. His two nephews Morgan and Drew Medaugh of Wasilla and his niece Nicole Medaugh of Anchorage, Alaska. David was preceded in death by our parents Clarence and Merle Medaugh of Renton, Washington.

David requested no service be performed and he was cremated by Bonney-Watson funeral services. His ashes were spread at Hanalei Bay on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. David will be greatly missed by his brother’s family and his many friends in the greater Seattle area. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
