On December 08, 1931, the world was blessed with the birth of David Williams in Seattle, Washington. There he was raised with his brothers and sister. David attended Garfield High School where he played football and excelled in math. He was noted for an exceptional memory. After high school he joined the US Navy and was selected and served in a unique submarine class, after four years in Florida David was discharged with an Honorable discharge in 1954. Upon returning to Seattle he started working as a longshoreman along the Seattle waterfront. David has the longest record of working for the longshoreman union, a total of 54 years of service.. He was promoted several times and retired as a “Walking Boss,” which this position took him from Seattle to San Francisco working on the west coast waterfront.

David made his mark in our community and each of our hearts. He was a polite and tireless worker who always had time to help whoever was in need. David had a reputation of generosity with many of his friends through the years.

David’s passion was automobiles and was always looking for the next new one that was on the marker. He had a personal relationship with Phil Smart

David is survived by his son Eric Ronald Williams, sister Marion Williams, brother-in-law Bruce Williams, niece, nephew, and two great nephews. David is going to be missed by Mr. and Mrs. Pierre who assisted him through his long illness and host of other friends.
