Dean Stuart Gallagher, (known to all his fellow workers and friends as “Dinger”), peacefully passed away September 8, 2012 at the age of 82. He was born in Bellevue August 31, 1930, resided in Renton until June 1960 when he and Arline were married and moved to the SeaTac area where they resided at the time of his passing September 8, 2012. He graduated from Renton High school and was employed at Kenworth Truck Company for 40 years until his retirement in 1990. He joined the U.S. Coast Guard in March 1952 and served on the “Sweetbrier” during the Korean War and was discharged from the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves in 1956. Dean enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and hiking to fish mountain lakes and streams. He was an avid baseball, football and hockey fan. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Arline; Brother Bill, Sister Grace Gunn; nephews Mike, Ike, James, Michael, Ronald and nieces Charlene, Betty Ann and Patricia. We will all miss his gentle nature, marvelous sense of humor, positive outlook on life and his constant quest to do for others. The family would like to thank his Group Health and Hospice nurses, also the ER medical staff at Highline Hospital for their special care and compassion. Interment will be at Tahoma Cemetery at Dean’s request, there will be no services.

I worked with “Dinger” for many years at Kenworth Truck Co. He was a dedicated employee and an inspiration to the younger employee’s like myself.

Remembering Dean brings fond memories of our old days together fishing, playing pinochle, and traveling with family to Reno. I will always remember our friendship. God Bless you.
