Obituary
Debra Lynn was welcomed into the world by Henry and Helen (Bell) Schindler on September 19th, 1959. She was a fighter, with a spirit for life and celebrating all it had to offer her. Shortly after celebrating her 61st birthday from a hospital bed, where she made the best of a complicated time and situation, on September 30th, 2020 Debra died at the same hospital where her life began.
Debra Fife spent all her years in the Seattle area, witnessing the numerous changes over the decades and looking forward to what was coming next. She was accustomed to things moving quickly, one of six children growing up, Debra also sought the comfort of fine and familiar things – her brother remembers with some pain Debra playing the same recording on an 8 track tape, again and again on a road trip until their father couldn’t stand it anymore. The weight of a stone in her hand also brought Debra ease, rolling it around until it rested in her palm just the right way, and admiring the color and polish – imagining the jewelry that it may be best shown off with at the Bingo Hall.
Greeting Debra at long last is her father Henry Schindler. Those left to cherish Debra’s memory are her mother Helen Schindler; sons Brett Schindler, Kyle Fife, Cody Fife; daughters Jessica Fife and Kelli Fife; 6 grandchildren; brothers Jim and Darren, Jeff; sister Dawn; and many friends.
A Visitation will be held at Bonney Watson Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, September 6th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. A Graveside service will be held at Washington Memorial Park on Wednesday, September 7th at 2 p.m.
