Delta Buck
December 27, 1933 - July 3, 2025

Obituary
It is with the deepest of sorrow that we announce the passing of Delta (Del) Buck. She left this world peacefully on the afternoon of July 3rd 2025. She was an incredible Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and friend to everyone who was lucky enough to cross paths with her.
Born in Seattle on the 27th of December 1933, along with her twin sister Nancy, to Parascho and Nadine Collaras. She was a graduate of West Seattle High school and married her husband, Richard, on June 11th, 1955. They were happily married for over 50 years, until Richard’s passing in February of 2006.
Her love of baking touched everyone she met, and the joy she brought with her pies, cobblers, and cookies was as contagious as her love for every holiday – especially Christmas. She spent the entire year shopping for just the right gifts for everyone and making sure the grandkids always got an equal amount. She was the mom who always volunteered – whether as team mom, chaperoning field trips, or a Blue Bird/Campfire leader for the neighborhood girls.
Her loving spirit was exemplified in her giving and caring nature through her work with children in her career as well as her volunteering with CASA (Court Appoint Special Advocates). A devoted mother, whose greatest joy was her family, she is survived by her son, Robert Buck and daughter, Susan Christopher (Patrick Church), grandchildren Kaitlin Burwell (Kellen), William Christopher (Lauren), Great-Granddaughter, Kya Burwell, her twin sister Nancy Charoni, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard, her Mother, Father, and Sister (Zerifia Berry).
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital to continue Del’s legacy and commitment to helping and caring for others, especially children.
We will all miss Del so much, but the love and positivity she brought into this world will remain with all of us whose lives were all made better by her being a part of it.
