Obituary

Dennis A. Jensen on SeaTac Washington passed away on April 8th, 2025. He was born on March 24, 1940, in Ephraim, Utah and is the second of 4 boys to Lyla & Darwood Jensen of Salem, Oregon.

He is survived by his wife, Johnnie DoyLene Jensen and three children: Jan Pliler, Eric Jensen, and Kristen Summers. Grandchildren: Paige-Madison Pliler, Alex Pliler, Aleigh (Pliler) Hooton, Sydney (Jensen) Decker, Liam Jensen, Avery Jensen, Megan Summers, In-Laws: Curt Pliler, Christalina (Butler) Jensen, David Summers, Great-Grandchildren: Bentley Pliler, Ashtynn Pliler-Cutler, Henry Decker, Mason Jensen and Dennis’s Brothers Darryle Jensen, and Llyod Jensen.

Dennis was kind, gentle, patient, and spiritually devoted as a follower and member of The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

As a young child he was taught to love his Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. His older brothers Darryl, Boyd and Llyod grew up together and have enjoyed a close family relationship. As Dennis became older, he enjoyed sports, and working on cars for transportation needs and even occasionally some afternoon racing.

Soon he enlisted in the Army Branch of the Military and served in St. Louis, Missouri and in Denver in Optical Dept of the hospital that prepared him for his professional career filling medical eyeglass prescriptions and fitting patients with contact lenses. He was able to spend almost 40 years in his career before retiring.

A lifelong resident of the Northwest residing in the same house for 55 years, he enjoyed photography, water skiing, music appreciation of classical symphonies, and constant learning and reading of books.

He was highly regarded and loved by many throughout his life and will be missed.

He is interned at the Tahoma National Cemetery on April 17th, 2025
