Obituary

Dionicia “Dione” Cabuan Corsilles, age 81, went home peacefully to be with her Savior on Thursday, June 12, 2014 in Seattle.
Born in the Philippines and enduring the war and occupation that ravaged her homeland, Dionicia became a successful trial lawyer, and land reform judge in her country.  She helped support her husband, Romulo Corsilles, through law school as well.  Romulo preceded her in death in 1993.  Dionicia came with her family to Seattle in 1986 and contributed greatly to both her church and the leadership of the Methodist Women, for which she traveled around the country as an active member, speaker, and teacher. Dionicia is survived by her children, Carla (Reuben), Cecille (Robbie), Rommel (Ella), Cindy (Chuck) and Cynthia (Simone), as well as the lights of her life, her eleven grandchildren: Sarah, Elijah, Isaiah, Anthony, Nica, Deanna, Melanie, Jacob, Caleb, Maya, and Micah. She is also survived by her sister, Juanita, as well as her sisters-in-law, her brother-in-law, and numerous nephews and nieces.  A viewing will be held for friends and family on Thursday, June 19, from 2:00 pm– 8:00 pm at Beacon United Methodist Church, 7301 Beacon Avenue S. in Seattle.  A funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 20 at 11:00 am at Beacon United Methodist Church.

We can’t forget her for she was our matron of honor in our wedding day.

She was also my traveling companion on the road and air, my room mate, my mom and loving friend.

We love you, Mommy and we will miss you.
