Obituary
Donald Alvin Gordon, age 81, passed peacefully on April 23, 2007 in Federal Way. Donald is survived by his son, Charles D. Gordon Pam; Don’s daughter, Barbra A. Gordon; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Dolman; numerous nieces and nephews. Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine E. Gordon in 2007.
Don was born in Bellingham, WA and soon after moved to Auburn and spent his youth there. He graduated from high school and served in the Merchant Marines. He hired out for the Northern Pacific R.R. in 1948. The Korean War started and he served his country from 1950 – 1952, came home from Korea and married his wife of 54 years, Elaine. They lived in Auburn until 1967 when he moved to Custer, WA and finished his career on the railroad. He retired in 1985 with 37 years of service. They traveled the US then spent the remainder of his life in Easton, WA. He will be greatly missed by many family members and friends. Thanks for the memories. We love and we’ll miss you.
Committal services and military honors will be given at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA on Tuesday, May 15th, at 2:00 pm. The family has entrusted BONNEY-WATSON Federal Way, 1535 SW Dash Point Rd., Federal Way, WA 253 839-7317 with arrangements.
