Don, was probably my closest friend during jr & sr high days. I enjoyed visiting with him at our class reunions & enjoyed a round of golf on one of his Okla visits.

Don was very proud of his family and as he described his sons I understood his pride.

Please accept my sincere condolences as I know he was a beloved son, husband, and father. May God bless you and comfort you during these days.

I will never forget Don and my dad starting up the Optimist Club in Hot Springs and giving us all a place to learn about teamwork and good sportsmanship.

I am glad I got to see Don again before we left Seattle in July. He was always fun to be around!

I am sorry for your loss.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Trantham family. Don was an expert in his field and I relied on him for many questions in the DOT area. He was always a pleasure to work with and didn’t mind taking the time to teach us when we needed help. I am so sorry for your loss, I know he will be missed by all. I want you to know he touched many of our lives in a positive way and certainly made a difference in the things he was involved in.

Don is one of the few people I’ve met in this life who ALWAYS greeted me, without failure or hesitation, with a big smile and big hug. Such a good man. He was always talking, proudly and glowingly, of you, his loving family. All our hearts are broken with his passing. The world is a lessor place without him but such a nicer place for having had him in it. Cynthia, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God Bless. Mo Olsen Don Olsen’s Wife

Cynthia, Matt, Andy, Clay, Dan, Ben; and mother, Grace. God’s peace and love to all of you. Thank you for sharing Don with many of us. We learned from him, and loved his stories about all of his family. We have been remembering one specific time, and have been chuckling, although he wasn’t chuckling back then. He agreed to use his forestry background knowledge and help “top” some trees, only to find out that the trees were the largest scrub maples he had ever seen. And there were 27 of them. He worked very hard for the meal we furnished.
