Obituary
Don Dussault, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the age of 85. He was born in Montana to the late Joseph and Myrtle Dussault, the oldest son of five. His childhood was spent living in Great Falls and Three Forks. Don graduated from Three Forks High School and moved with the family to Wenatchee where he joined the Navy and served at the Los Angles Recruiting Station. Then he recieved an associates degree from Wenatchee CC, Washington. Don was very versatile and also served in the Civil Air Patrol where he learned to fly. Upon his return to Washington, Don fell in love with his loving wife Ruth at a dance in Cashmere and the two were married on August 27th, three days prior to his 20th birthday. Don and Ruth celebrated 65 years of marriage with a family cruise to Alaska last summer. Together they traveled to many tropical locales and world-wide destinations. Don loved to travel and was always looking for his next adventure. Don was an avid fisherman and loved clam digging, crabbing and shrimping. He spent years fishing the waters at Westport as Captain of the DoSalt where he mastered the art of salmon fishing. Don worked for Consolidated Freightways as an Office Manager for 41 years. Simultaneously he held a real estate and brokers license for the past 40+ years, deciding in December it was time to retire. Don treasured time spent with his family. He loved his family and family meant everything to him. As a father and grandfather, Don attended every activity, athletic event and school program for his two daughters and grandchildren. He was always their biggest fan! Don was preceded in death by his parents, his younger sister Dorothy and younger brother Joe. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; sisters Mary Irion (Bill), and Loretta Smith (Bob); two daughters, Vicki (Steve) Dussault Hagen and Donna (John) Dussault-Walker; his grandchildren, Bryan (Kelly) Hagen, Darren (Camila) Hagen, Jason Hagen and Lindsay Walker as well as two great grandchildren, Avery and Ashton Hagen. Don is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews, cousins and other extended family and dear friends. Don lived in the Highline area for 60 years and was a longtime member of Highline Christian Church, Des Moines Yacht Club, the WA Kelpers Association, the Eagles and the Burien Elks.
We were so happy to be able to spend some time with Don and his family in June.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
in my 26+ years at Consolidated Freightways…I also worked along side of Don in their offices.
I wish to express my sincere sympathy to The Dussault Family.
We first met Don (and Ruth) as a fellow employee of Consolidated Freightways, & remained good friends for the past 40+ years.
Don was always known as an honest, trustworthy person who had the highest respect from those who knew & worked with him.
Our condolences to Ruth, Donna, John and the entire Dussault family.
We were saddened with the passing of Don. He always displayed a positive spirit, full of energy, personality and happiness. He was a pleasure to be associated with, as a volunteer, at E B Foote Winery. Our hearts and prayers go out to all in his family.
Keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers at this time.
Vicki / Donna & families:

SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS! DON WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON AND WILL BE VERY MUCH MISSED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM. I WORKED WITH DON AT CF FOR 38 YEARS AND LATER SPENT TIME WITH HIM AT OUR MONTHLY LUNCHES AND IN HIS REAL ESTATE CAPACITY HE SOLD MY PARENTS HOME FOR US. AGAIN, SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. WE WILL BE UNABLE TO ATTEND THE SERVICE SINCE WE WILL BE OUT OF TOWN, BUT DON WILL BE IN OUR THOUGHTS.
I only met you a few times through Darren. You always had a smile on your face and it was pleasure to meet you.
To Vicki, Donna, and your families,
We were saddened to hear about your Dad and wish we were in Seattle to attend the service today to honor him. He was a great guy, always so nice, and someone who lived an exemplary life. We’ll always carry fond memories of him and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
