I’ve lost a very good friend. We were in high school and optometry college together. I’ve got a lot of great memories. I send my sympathy to his daughters.

I worked for Don as the manager of Triangle Mall in Longview for many years. He was a good man to work for, smart and fair-minded. I knew him as a guy that was always ready with a great story, the latest goings on about town or who was hot on the stock market. Since moving to the Seattle area, my wife and I would often stop when we came to Longview to visit Don at his home. He was gracious, as always. We will miss seeing him. And I will remember him as a man who often helped me with good ideas and counsel.

Doc was first and foremost a true gentleman. He was an astute businessman and a real joy to be with socially, escpecially displaying his skill at the gambling casinos. Doc never spoke ill of anyone and will be greatly missed by me and many others in our community.

Dr.Marquardt my wy eye doctor as I was growing up. I’ve thought often of him because I liked to go see him. It’s been a long time now, I’m 54, but I’ll always remember him with kind thoughts.
